Project Engineer

Since 1946, Lehman Daman has been a trusted commercial general contractor and construction manager serving Central Ohio and surrounding states. The Project Engineer role is an early-career position with strong growth opportunity within Lehman Daman.

Responsibilities:

Support Project Managers, Superintendents, and Estimators by assisting with:

  • Ensuring strict adherence to Lehman Daman safety practices and procedures.
  • Communicating with subcontractors and vendors throughout the bidding process
  • Developing project scopes of work.
  • Planning and implementing project activities.
  • Managing and organizing project documentation, including safety records, submittals, drawing logs, RFIs, transmittals, close-out documents, and meeting minutes.
  • Subcontractor and superintendent coordination.
  • Travel to jobsites as required by PM and/or Superintendents, including out of state.
  • Miscellaneous tasks assigned by the project team to serve the success of the project.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in computer and smartphone use, with strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Responsive and able to address requests from customers and field leadership promptly.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Capable of working independently in a remote or field-based setting.
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset and maintains a positive attitude.
  • 1-2 years of construction experience is preferred.
  • Associate degree or higher in construction, engineering, or a related field required.
