Preferred qualifications:
  • PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with hardware and software integration, including the Android operating system.
  • Experience with CAD software and direct experience with workshop tools and fabrication.
  • Experience across multiple technical areas, such as wireless systems, video, audio, and sensors.

  • Work with cross-functional hardware and software teams to deliver new and differentiating technologies and use cases across the Android ecosystem, including Pixel products.
  • Work with external partners to identify and define new technologies to support internal product and feature roadmaps.
  • Develop models and fabricate functional prototypes of new products and features, including both hardware and software integration.
  • Define architectures, key performance indicators (KPIs), and validation strategies/plans for new products and features.
  • Lead and approve activities in a discipline of hardware design, architecture, technology, or development for a product or system of high complexity.
