Job description

Interested in designing for a leading meetings and events magazine? Smart Meetings is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with 1–5 years of experience, with a strong foundation in print design, to join our team as a full-time Junior Production Designer. This role works closely with our production and events teams to bring creative concepts to life across both print and digital platforms, with a primary focus on producing high-quality print layouts.

  •  Take ownership of the design and layout of features, columns and destination stories for print. 
  • Collaborate closely with the Art Director and cross-functional teams (production, marketing, events, and editorial) to develop the overall look and feel of design assets. 
  • Create fresh, engaging designs for both print and digital platforms. 
  • Perform photo editing and online proofing 
  • Design online banners
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva (Animation and video editing are a plus). 
  • Maintain a working knowledge of AI tools used in the design workflow. 
  • Assist in designing the monthly event guide program, poster boards, and other promotional assets. 
  • Create basic motion graphics and animations using After Effects.
  • Manage projects while meeting tight production deadlines.
