Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Security Engineer to join our team. In this role, the individual will be responsible for resolving and driving security remediation efforts for identified gaps. The individual will work closely with risk and control partners, engineering and operations teams to embed security best practices across the software development lifecycle and ensure our systems, networks, and data are protected.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively identify, investigate, and assess security gaps across systems, applications, and cloud environments, recommending and implementing appropriate solutions to address them.

Drive end-to-end security remediation efforts, ensuring issues are tracked, prioritized, and resolved in a timely manner.

Assist in designing and documenting blockchain solution architectures, ensuring security best practices are embedded from the ground up.

Support the secure integration of blockchain components with existing systems and APIs, ensuring alignment with enterprise security standards.

Design, implement, and maintain security controls across cloud and on-premise environments.

Conduct threat modeling, security reviews, and penetration testing to surface vulnerabilities before they are exploited.

Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).

Manage identity and access management (IAM), secrets management, and encryption practices.

Monitor security events and lead incident response efforts in a timely and effective manner.

Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures across the organization.

Evaluate and implement security tools and technologies to strengthen the overall security posture.

Support compliance efforts with relevant frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, or PCI-DSS.

Provide security guidance and training to internal teams to promote a security-first culture.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Foundational knowledge of blockchain concepts (e.g., consensus mechanisms, smart contracts, tokens, cryptography).

Familiarity with at least one blockchain platform (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger, Solana, Polygon).

Experience with programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Solidity is a plus.

Understanding of RESTful APIs and basic integration patterns.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and DevOps practices.

Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development tools.

Participation in blockchain hackathons, open-source projects, or relevant coursework.

Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, etc.
