Summary:

Vivint is looking for a Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager to be responsible for managing component supplier costs, contracts, relationships, and roadmaps.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement strategies for each category and supplier
  • Manage relationships with suppliers in strategic categories
  • Script and lead negotiations with suppliers and internal partners
  • Play a key role in the BOM decision for new products in collaboration with Engineering
  • Gather market information on components (technology trend, supply, cost, etc.)
  • Conduct Value Analysis Value Engineering on current products
  • Identify room and obstacles for process improvements and create procedures to address the gaps
  • Present projects and initiatives to leadership
  • Support Engineering builds on Supply Chain Execution
  • Travel domestically and internationally for supplier visits

Required Skills, Experience, & Education: 

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • A proven track record of negotiating continuous cost reductions
  • Goes above and beyond to do what’s needed independently

  • Self-awareness

Preferred Skills, Experience & Education: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree, MBA Preferred
  • Experience – 7 – 10 years in related fields with successful demonstration of results
  • Familiarity with the high-volume consumer electronics industry. An engineering background is helpful.
  • An understanding of the end-to-end NPI process
  • Experience with reviewing and negotiating supplier contracts
  • An international business background is strongly preferred

The base salary range for this position is: $120,000 - $150,000* *The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition the position may be eligible to participate in the benefits program which include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending accounts.
