Job Summary

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for new business development and account growth within the greater Houston area. You will sell a full portfolio of building technology solutions – audio visual (AV) solutions, power and cooling, building automation, smart buildings, data center infrastructure, and physical security—using a consultative sales approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals
  • Generate new business through prospecting, referrals, and relationship building
  • Grow existing accounts through cross‑selling and upselling technology solutions
  • Sell integrated solutions including:
    • Power and cooling systems
    • Building automation and smart building technologies
    • Commercial Audio-Visual systems (conference rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, digital signage, and collaboration solutions)
    • Physical security and supporting IT infrastructure
  • Own the entire sales cycle from discovery through close
  • Conduct customer discovery to understand business, operational, and technical requirements
  • Design and present integrated AV and building technology solutions to multiple stakeholders (IT, facilities, executives)
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales operations, and vendor partners to scope and deliver solutions
  • Develop territory, account, and business plans to drive revenue
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, and sales contracts
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and activity tracking in CRM tools
  • Participate in ongoing training related to AV technologies, smart buildings, automation platforms, and emerging solutions

Required Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of sales or business development experience
  • Experience selling or supporting building technology solutions, power and cooling systems, building automation or smart buildings, audio visual (AV), security, data center, or low‑voltage technologies (preferred)
  • Strong consultative and solution‑based sales skills
  • Ability to understand and communicate the business value of integrated technology solutions
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
  • Comfortable working cross‑functionally with technical teams
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Experience in smart building ecosystems or BAS platforms
  • Familiarity with data center infrastructure and physical security
  • Background in highly competitive environments
  • CRM experience (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
