Experienced Landscape Crew Leader / Crew Chief

Pay: $25–$32 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated ability
Schedule: Full-time, seasonal position, approximately March through November

About Eizley Landscapes

Eizley Landscapes is a growing residential landscape construction company serving Farmington and the surrounding south-metro area. We specialize in custom hardscapes and complete landscape installations, including paver patios, retaining walls, natural-stone work, grading, drainage, sod, planting and landscape renovation.

The Position

We are looking for an experienced landscape professional who can grow into—or immediately assume—a Crew Chief role.

This is a working leadership position. You will install alongside the crew while helping organize the jobsite, direct daily production, maintain quality standards and communicate effectively with the owner, crew members and customers.

The right person is dependable, takes ownership of their work and can solve problems without needing constant supervision. Consistent attendance and completing work correctly the first time are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and work alongside a small landscape construction crew
• Help lay out projects using plans, measurements, elevations and job specifications
• Install paver patios, walkways, steps and retaining walls
• Perform natural-stone and custom hardscape installation
• Complete excavation, base preparation, grading and compaction
• Install drainage, edging, rock, mulch, plants, sod and seed
• Safely operate compact equipment, including mini skid steers, compactors, saws and other landscape tools
• Load, secure and transport tools, equipment and materials
• Plan daily work and keep projects moving efficiently
• Monitor workmanship throughout the installation—not only at completion
• Identify and correct potential problems before they become customer callbacks
• Maintain organized, professional and safe jobsites
• Communicate respectfully with customers and address questions appropriately
• Help train and develop less-experienced crew members
• Care for company vehicles, equipment and tools

Ideal Qualifications

• At least three years of professional landscape construction or hardscape experience preferred
• Previous crew-lead or foreman experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of paver, retaining-wall and base-preparation practices
• Ability to establish grades and elevations and follow project layouts
• Experience operating mini skid steers or similar compact equipment
• Comfortable using concrete saws and other hardscape tools
• Valid driver’s license with a dependable driving record
• Trailer-driving experience is strongly preferred
• Ability to repeatedly lift 75 pounds and perform demanding outdoor work
• Ability to work in varying weather and jobsite conditions
• Reliable transportation to our Farmington-area starting location
• Strong attendance and punctuality
• Professional communication and a positive attitude
• Ability to work independently and make sound jobsite decisions
• Willingness to accept feedback and take responsibility for completed work
