Small engine mechanics often work in repair shops, for equipment dealers, or may be self-employed. Their expertise covers a range of engine types, including two-stroke and four-stroke gasoline engines.

RC Mowers | We're Hiring

Assembly Technician

Full-Time Suamico, WI (On-Site)

$20.00 to $24.00 per hour

Monday through Friday | 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Build machines that go straight from the factory floor to the field.

At RC Mowers, you'll help assemble commercial mowing machines used on steep slopes, rough terrain, and demanding job sites.

This is hands-on work with real equipment. You'll use hand tools, power tools and shop equipment, to build parts, subassemblies, and finished machines.

If you like building things, working with your hands, and seeing the finished product roll out the door, this is that job.

THE JOB

You'll work in our Suamico factory as part of the production team.

You'll follow build instructions, assemble components, check your work, and help keep machines moving through production. This is not small-part production line work or repetitive bench assembly work. You need to pay attention, stay organized, and care about doing it right.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Assemble parts, components, and subassemblies into finished machines
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely
  • Follow work instructions, diagrams, and assembly procedures
  • Check your work for quality, accuracy, and consistency
  • Spot issues and communicate them to the team
  • Keep your work area clean and organized
  • Support production goals and build schedules

WHAT THE SHOP IS LIKE

  • 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM normal shift
  • Monday through Friday schedule
  • Overtime during busy seasons, usually in the spring
  • Clean, bright production environment
  • Air-conditioned production facility with large windows and natural light
  • Tools and training provided
  • Team-oriented production environment

WHO FITS HERE

  • You like hands-on mechanical work
  • You take pride in doing quality work
  • You notice when something doesn't look right
  • You can follow instructions and stay focused
  • You show up on time and ready to work
  • You work well with a team
  • You are dependable and willing to learn

EXPERIENCE THAT HELPS

You do not need to know our machines before you start. We will train the right person.

Experience that translates well to this role includes:

  • Assembly or manufacturing work
  • Mechanical or shop experience
  • Hand tools and power tools
  • Work instructions, diagrams, or basic drawings
  • Automotive, equipment, agricultural, small engine, or machinery experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is a hands-on production job. You should be comfortable:

  • Standing and moving throughout the shift
  • Bending, reaching, lifting, and working around equipment
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Working safely in a production environment

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • $20.00 to $24.00 per hour commensurate with experience
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid vacation and sick leave
  • Paid holidays
  • Disability, life, and accident insurance
