The ideal candidate is someone who wants to dive into our application stack and join a team of innovators. You will be building applications from the ground up and enhancing an existing core. You will have the opportunity to work in small, but complete, teams that have total ownership of applications and modules.
Responsibilities:
  • In a .Net environment, code, test, debug, and implement custom application in C# utilizing microservices techniques along with Angular 2+
  • Utilize SQL to pull, query, and join data using TSQL as necessary
  • Integrate multiple components potentially across disparate applications
  • Write technical specifications and other forms of documentation
  • Innovate on tools and processes that simplify and expedite achieving development goals
  • Collaborate with other technical teams (DevOps, Database, QA Testers, and Analysts) to ensure successful delivery of projects from testing to integration to deployment

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field from an accredited U.S. institution
  • 0-2 years of professional software development experience
  • Working knowledge of C# and the .NET framework and .NET Core
  • Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web design principles
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including writing SQL queries and understanding relational database concepts
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and software design fundamentals
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and client/server application architecture
  • Basic understanding of debugging, testing, and troubleshooting software applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum development environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Internship, co-op, academic, or personal project experience using Angular, C#, or SQL Server
  • Familiarity with Entity Framework or Entity Framework Core
  • Exposure to Azure DevOps, GitHub, or other CI/CD tools
  • Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, MSTest, Jasmine, or Karma)
  • Understanding of dependency injection and modern software architecture patterns
  • Experience in consuming or developing REST APIs
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Familiarity with using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Codex, or similar) to improve productivity in coding, debugging, testing, and documentation while validating AI-generated output for accuracy, security, and maintainability

At ASI, we understand that everyone's journey is different. If you are not sure if your experience meets the requirements, we encourage you to apply. We are interested in what you have to offer.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Security clearance not required at the time of hire. Candidate must be capable of obtaining a secret security clearance if required for future project assignments

Benefits and Compensation:
  • 401(k) plan with immediate 100% vesting and 4% discretionary match
  • Paid leave including PTO, holiday, bereavement, and military
  • Generous medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their families
  • Health and dependent care FSA
  • Company-provided life/AD&D, as well as supplemental life and disability insurance
  • TRICARE Supplement
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Tuition assistance and professional development

Pay:
  • $30.00-$35.00 per hour / $62,400-$72,800 per year
