Who We're Looking For - B2B Copywriter
The B2B Copywriter develops clear, compelling content tailored to small business audiences. This role simplifies complex financial and technology solutions, supports informed buyer decisions, and crafts persuasive copy designed to capture search intent and convert readers into leads primarily for Business.org.
Working cross-functionally with SEO Specialists, Content Managers, and other stakeholders, the B2B Copywriter develops content aligned with search intent, business objectives, and the needs of SMB decision-makers. The candidate brings strong research and writing skills, close attention to detail, and the ability to create review, comparison, and authoritative resource content for the B2B buyer journey.
This position contributes to audience engagement, brand credibility, and conversion performance by producing content that builds trust in Business.org's expertise and effectively communicates value to SMB audiences.
Clearlink is a remote-friendly company, prioritizing virtual and in-person collaboration. This is a remote-first role for candidates who are located outside of Utah and outside of commuting distance. For candidates residing within 50 miles of our Salt Lake City, Utah office, a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days in-office is required.
The Impact You Will Make
  • Research and Create High-Value Content: Research, test, and write content about products and services across SMB finance and tech industries, specifically business loans, banking, checking, accounting, POS, and business credit cards.
  • Simplify Complex Topics: Write authoritative, differentiated resource content that makes business finance concepts accessible, actionable, and engaging for small business owners.
  • Craft Conversion-Focused Copy: Develop high-performing CTAs, product reviews, comparison tables, cost calculators, and landing pages that drive leads and conversions.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with the Content Marketing Manager and SEO Specialist to align content with SEO strategies, target keywords, and audience needs.
  • Maintain Brand Voice: Adapt content to reflect the unique voice of Business.org (approachable, SMB-focused, and authoritative).
  • Use Data to Inform Strategy: Analyze content performance using tools like Google Analytics and make data-driven updates to maximize traffic, engagement, and conversion rates.
What You Bring
  • Writing Expertise: Craft clear, engaging, and actionable copy tailored to the needs of SMB decision-makers.
  • SEO Knowledge: Apply on-page SEO principles, keyword integration, and writing for search intent.
  • Research Skills: Research complex business financial and technology topics and translate technical jargon into user-friendly content.
  • Collaboration Skills: Work with content managers, SEO specialists, and design teams to align content strategy and execution.
  • Productivity Tools: Utilize Google Suite, Microsoft Office, or similar productivity software.
  • Attention to Detail: Apply strong editing and proofreading skills to ensure error-free, high-quality content.
  • Results-Oriented Mindset: A track record of creating content that drives traffic, engagement, and measurable business results.

Education and Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience writing for B2B audiences, specifically targeting SMBs.
  • Demonstrated general literacy in SMB financial services.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing B2B-focused content, including product reviews, comparison guides, blog posts, and resource content.

Preferred Experience:
  • Strongly Preferred: Experience writing about business financial services (business loans, banking, accounting, POS, business credit cards).
  • Familiarity with financial compliance and regulatory writing.
  • 2+ years of experience in digital content writing, journalism, content marketing, or related field.

Perks That Set Us Apart
  • Healthcare: We offer low-cost, competitive health coverage (domestic partners included!) with employer-paid counseling services.
  • Invest in the Future: Enjoy 401(k) matching after just two months of employment, with employer matching starting at ~3%.
  • Lifestyle Spending Stipends: Access an employer-paid spending account for physical, financial, and emotional wellbeing expenses.
  • Flexible Time Off: We offer competitive time-off balances that accrue weekly, just like your paycheck. (Yes, we're paid weekly too!)
  • Parental Leave: We provide 2 weeks of paid parental leave during the first year and up to 9 weeks after one year of employment.
  • Generous Paid Holidays: Celebrate cultural diversity with additional flex holidays in addition to our company paid holidays.
  • Flex Schedule: This role is remote-first, with a hybrid requirement for team members located within a 50-mile radius of our Salt Lake City, Utah office. For locals, expect in-office collaboration on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with Wednesdays designated as a flex day based on team and manager needs. Remaining workdays are remote, depending on role requirements.
  • Comprehensive Life Insurance: Ensure peace of mind with coverage that extends beyond the workplace with employer paid life insurance (including coverage for dependents and spouses).
  • Employee Resource Groups (ERGs): Join us in fostering connections, celebrating diversity, and providing a supportive community for all.
