Job description

In this role, the Business Banking Officer proactively pursues Sales within the Small Business Segment by working with existing and forming connections with potential new Small Business client's to help them reach their financial goals. The Business Banker also leverages Credit Analysis skills to properly grow their portfolio and does due diligence to maintain compliance standards, as well as policies and procedures. If you are someone who is highly motivated, with like-minded banking or finance experience, and wants to make a positive impact with the Small Businesses within our communities, this may be the role for you!

The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their experience.

Compensation

The pay range for the role is $47,195 - $84,406/yr; commensurate with experience; plus sales incentives.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM (hours may vary)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting, or equivalent work experience required

  • Post baccalaureate degree (desirable)

  • Must complete Business/Commercial Banking Associates program or related experience

  • Must be able to read various financial statements and have a general understanding of accounting concepts

  • 3+ years of experience in banking (or related industry) with financial analysis and credit skills

  • Able to plan, organize and budget

  • Good written and verbal communication

  • Able to handle confidential matters judiciously

  • Possesses attention to detail with excellent follow-through

  • Able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines

  • Good time management skills

  • Possesses sales skills to enhance business development objectives

  • Ability to inform, persuade and convince customers of the perceived value of products and services

  • Good working knowledge of financial service products
