Description

• Conduct assessments on patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standardized techniques and clinical observations.
• Craft individualized treatment plans tailored to both immediate achievements and comprehensive communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver targeted therapy services aimed at enhancing communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice production, and swallowing capabilities.
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, and families to develop unified care strategies.
• Empower patients and their families with knowledge to foster progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Be instrumental in performing occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Sustain clear and accurate documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Commit to ongoing professional growth by remaining informed about advancements in the field through education and peer engagement.

Education

• Earned a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
