Exciting opportunity to provide speech-language services in a supportive school environment working with pre-kindergarten and elementary-aged students! This contract position offers a consistent two-day-per-week schedule, running from 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch), ideal for professionals seeking meaningful work without a full-time commitment.
You'll primarily work with high-functioning students, targeting communication needs in a dynamic, inclusive setting—no self-contained programming required. Collaborate with an experienced, full-time SLP who manages evaluations and participates in Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings. Together, you'll share and coordinate student caseloads; for example, a student scheduled for two 30-minute sessions per week will see each SLP once, promoting collaborative care and continuity.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure and necessary certification to provide SLP services in a school setting
- Prior experience with pediatric, preschool, or elementary populations preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to collaborate on student goals and service planning
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based speech-language therapy to students PK-elementary
- Implement service plans as part of a coordinated SLP team
- Document student progress and collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
- Participate in team meetings and communicate student needs/goals
