Exploratory Classroom Teachers (FACS, ART)
Reports to:
Maggie Dolan, Assistant Director of Special Education
Task Force Responsibilities:
Identify current barriers to access and participation in current Exploratory classes
Review current resources to support SS level 1 students with disabilities within Exploratory Classes
Develop practical adaptations, modifications, and supports that can be integrated into curriculum and instruction
Establish, create and allocate additional resources for to support students
Collaborate with colleagues across departments/schools in order to gain new strategies to implement within the inclusive classroom setting
Explore staff development and training needs
Task Force Dates:
Fall/Winter 2025 (Dates and times determined by task force in collaboration with Special Education Administration)
Compensation:
Stipend per hourly rate for curriculum work per contractual agreement.
Maximum of 10 hours per max of 15 task force members.
