We’re looking for an enthusiastic and patient-focused SLPA to support our outpatient clinical services and provide engaging, individualized care to patients of all ages.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide speech, language, communication, and swallowing therapy under the direction and supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.

  • Implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic activities designed to meet each patient’s goals.

  • Build positive relationships with patients and families while creating a supportive and encouraging therapy environment.

  • Track patient progress and communicate observations and concerns to the supervising SLP.

  • Assist with therapeutic activities that promote communication, cognition, functional skills, and independence.

  • Educate and encourage patients and caregivers on strategies to support carryover at home.

  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.

  • Collaborate with SLPs and other members of the rehabilitation and clinical team.

  • Participate in a patient-centered approach that focuses on each individual’s strengths, needs, and goals.

  • Current Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license/certification appropriate for practice in Maine.

  • Completion of an accredited SLPA program or equivalent qualifications.
