Job description

Position Overview:

The Slot Technician is responsible for performing all repairs, maintenance, moves, modifications, and installation of all slot equipment including but not limited to slot machines and slot system equipment. All duties are to be performed according to the policies and procedures of the Mount Airy Casino Resort and the regulations of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Adjusts and repairs machines, replacing worn or defective parts as needed.
  • Conducts routine maintenance and servicing of slot machines and related components.
  • Inspects malfunctioning machines to determine causes.
  • Conducts daily inspections of machines and equipment.
  • Coordinates movements, modifications of machines as directed.
  • Set machine options on slot machines and programs progressive slot controllers.
  • Installs new slot related equipment.
  • Moves, modifies and updates slot machines as assigned.
  • Assigns duties to slot technical staff for preventive maintenance and machine inspections as directed.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times.  Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
  • Must be able to install and repair the ACSC slot system.
  • Attends all necessary meetings.        
  • Assist in other projects as directed
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
  • Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by 24-hour schedule.

Essential Requirements:

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment.
  • Formal training in the repair and maintenance of a variety of electronic equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience as a slot technician is a plus.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the employees throughout all levels of the Mount Airy Casino Resort.
  • Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid license as required by the PA Gaming Control Board.
  • Must have ability to deal affectively and interact well with customers and employees.
  • Must demonstrate leadership, fairness and sensibility to the customers and employees.

  • Adequate manual dexterity to use hand tools and work with electrical equipment and engage in heavy lifting.

Other Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as required with occasional travel.
  • Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
