Position Summary

The Slot Technician I is responsible for the installation, repair, relocation, and preventative maintenance of slot machines to ensure maximum uptime and provide an exceptional gaming experience for guests. This role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of equipment performance and guest service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Practice, support, and uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on slot machines to maximize equipment reliability and maintain accurate repair records.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic gaming machines to the component level.
  • Install, relocate, and remove slot machines and conversion kits according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform urgent repairs to minimize machine downtime.
  • Inspect new slot machines and conversion kits before installation.
  • Monitor machine performance and strive to achieve maximum game uptime.
  • Collaborate with Slot Operations and leadership to ensure efficient technical operations.
  • Investigate slot machine variances and resolve issues in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist guests by providing information and support related to slot machines and gaming operations.
  • Communicate equipment issues, repair status, and technical solutions to management and team members.
  • Maintain security of assigned keys, radios, handheld devices, and other company-issued equipment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and departmental guidelines.
  • Attend required meetings and training sessions.
  • Understand and comply with the Company's Compulsive and Problem Gambling Plan, including regulations regarding minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Maintain flexibility to work varying schedules based on operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year of Slot Technician experience or experience in a related technical field.
  • Electronics or PC technical degree/certification preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and slot management systems.
  • Ability to use smartphones, tablets, and touchscreen technology.
Preferred
  • Previous experience repairing electronic gaming equipment.
  • Technical understanding of a wide variety of slot machines and gaming systems.
  • Experience training or mentoring others.

Work Environment
