MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Engineer to join our team in Fort Meade, MD.
 

The Software Engineer will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to design, develop, and maintain complex software systems while ensuring all functional and performance requirements are met.
 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Designing and coding new software or modifying existing software to add new features and functionality.
  • Analyzing user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements while debugging existing software to correct defects.
  • Developing and implementing algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.
  • Integrating existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
  • Developing software solutions by analyzing system performance standards and conferring with users or system engineers.
  • Writing or reviewing software and system documentation to ensure process standards are met.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 7+ years of software engineering experience; Four years of additional software engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Proficiency with backend software development using Python.
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing and deploying backend applications within cloud environments.
  • Foundational understanding of Docker and a general familiarity with Kubernetes environments.
  • Experience with Angular or React development.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph.
     

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
