Job Description

The Slot Technician performs maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on gaming machines, equipment, and hardware. This role involves both supervised training and independent floor operations, with progression toward full technical competency and proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine, immediate, periodic, and overhaul maintenance on gaming machines, equipment, and hardware
  • Diagnose and repair machine faults, working independently on common floor calls
  • Isolate electronic faults at the board level and escalate complex issues to senior-level slot technicians
  • Read, interpret, and accurately apply information from repair manuals and equipment-related technical documentation
  • Communicate effectively via two-way radio to coordinate maintenance activities and report status updates
  • Maintain current working knowledge of new slot products and equipment offerings
  • Complete assigned tasks under supervision during the training and development phase, progressing toward independent operation
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Thorough knowledge of the mechanics, electronics, and electrical functions of gaming machines
  • Ability to work with various hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of shift
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, and crouch while repairing gaming machines
  • Ability to push and pull machines and maneuver weights up to 80 pounds
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of experience in slots or a related field
  • Graduation from slot repair school or similar course of study
