About the Role:
Bluberi is seeking a highly motivated individual who has a passion for game software development and slot machines to be part of our new Las Vegas Studio.
The Game Software Developer IV joins each element of a game: graphics, animation, audio and mathematic formulas, to deliver high quality, captivating and performing games while guiding other studio developers towards becoming more efficient in developing solid and enticing games.
Essential Functions
  • Develop, code, integrate, test, and debug high-performance game software within the slot platform frameworks.
  • Implement complex game logic, bonus features, pay table behavior, art, animations and trigger for market leading game concepts
  • Acts as a key technical reference for the game development team and participates in technical discussions and decisions.
  • Collaborate with Art, Audio, Mathematics, and QA teams, providing technical mentorship to junior developers.
  • Programs support, integrate, documents and validates the game code using the game development platform.
  • Implement game changes and modification through the development process.
  • Optimize software for performance and reliability and troubleshoot complex development issues.
  • Assists the game engine team on modules and issues related to the game development kit, participates in discussions and helps the team in shaping the tools.
  • Manages projects from ideation to completion.
  • Research technical issues and share findings with the team and other studios.
  • Be a key contributor and provide game play feedback and recommendations that will help the game director make design decisions that will improve the game.

Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or College diploma (DEC), advanced degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in game development, with a preference for land-based gaming industry experience.
  • 6+ years or more of experience in programming, preferably in video game development.
  • In-depth knowledge of the gaming world and its key concepts.
  • High proficiency and expertise of C, C++, C# and Unity 3D.
  • Experience with the Visual Studio development environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SVN and GIT version control tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to make key decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Expert analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. Can modulate information to different development domains. Demonstrates effective presentation skills.

About the Team:
The New Studio in Las Vegas is responsible for the development of entertaining land-based slot machines. The studio is part of Bluberi's R&D department, which includes other development teams in the US and Canada. Our game development teams are comprised of enthusiastic and experienced professionals across multiple disciplines including mathematics, visual arts, software engineering, game design, audio engineering, and quality assurance. We work in a hybrid model to ensure effective iteration of creative content on target hardware while providing personal flexibility and work efficiency.

Employment Classification
To determine eligibility for benefits and overtime status and to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, Bluberi uses the following classifications. Employment classifications are based on the guidelines of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and, as circumstances dictate, Bluberi may review or change employment classifications at any time.
Exempt: Exempt Team members are paid on a salary basis and are not eligible to receive overtime pay.
Non-exempt: Non-exempt Team members are paid on an hourly basis and are eligible to receive overtime pay for overtime hours worked.
Regular, full time: Team members who are not in a temporary status and work a minimum of 30 hours weekly and maintain continuous employment status. These Team members are eligible for the full-time benefits package and are subject to the terms, conditions, and limitations of each benefits program.
Regular, part time: Team members who are not in a temporary status and who are regularly scheduled to work less than 30 hours weekly, but at least 20 hours weekly, and who maintain continuous employment status. Part-time Team members are eligible for some of the benefits offered by the company and are subject to the terms, conditions, and limitations of each benefits program.
