Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Slot Technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of diagnoses and repairs of slot machines, with infrequent assistance; possesses extensive knowledge of both mechanical and electronic aspects of slot machine repair; provides training or assistance to lesser experienced technicians.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • The Slot Technician I will analyze and respond to a variety of customer service related issues.
  • Technicians are responsible for the repair and maintenance of component level electronic circuitry in gaming devices.
  • Responsible for the installation and removal of gaming devices.
  • Day to day preventative maintenance; troubleshoots ticket-in ticket-out and coin machines; performs hopper tests; clears coin jams and bill validator jams.
  • Assists in game conversions and firmware upgrades.
  • Investigates and verifies any ticket issues.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies needed to perform job function.
  • Maintains and calibrates currency validators, executes machine moves, game conversions, installations, and floor upgrade of current ticket-in ticket out products.
  • Responsible to investigate device malfunctions of various gaming devices and clears coin bill and coin jams.
  • Performs the day to day repair and preventative maintenance of all slot machines. Performs other duties as deemed necessary by Management.
  • Perform work regularly, predictably and in a professional manner.
  • Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Perform work regularly and adheres to all Indiana Gaming Regulations.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Attend seminars when needed.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Must have good communications skills. Must have basic computer skills. Must have electronic background or minimum two-year experience in slot operations. Must have two (2) or more years' experience in the Gaming Industry or an equivalent customer service environment.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
  • Prior experience in the Gaming industry strongly preferred.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Team Leadership and motivational skills
  • Electronics at the circuit board level.
  • Technical experience and training with slots.
  • Electronic and computer programming.

  • Review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
  • Use all machine test equipment.
