Position Details

  • Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift
  • Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Responsibilities

  • Lead the operation of press lines, including machine start-up, running, changeovers, and shut-down according to established procedures.
  • Run all jobs in strict accordance with customer specifications, manufacturing specifications, print specifications, color folders, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure all required paperwork and documentation are completed accurately and on time, including production reports, job verification sheets, ink usage sheets, QA reports, roll tickets, S.O.C. sheets, and other assigned forms.
  • Work closely with and direct the press assistant and pit crew to minimize job changeover time and production downtime.
  • Train and guide press assistants to become proficient in all required assistant duties as defined in each level of the assistant training matrix within the expected timeframes.
  • Support operations in achieving World Class Manufacturing standards, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Understand and follow all product safety requirements and demonstrate awareness of your role in maintaining product safety.
  • Comply with 5S and World Class Manufacturing initiatives, including cross-training and moving to where work is needed.
  • Use hand tools and production equipment safely and effectively during press and lamination operations.
  • Enter production and quality data accurately into computer systems and maintain organized records.
  • Perform general labor tasks associated with press and lamination operations as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members and work independently to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures and promptly report any issues or concerns.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervision or management.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with production and machine operating in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate press lines and lamination equipment.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to enter data accurately into computer systems.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts and remain on your feet for the entirety of the shift.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed specifications and standard operating procedures.
  • Willingness to comply with safety, 5S, and World Class Manufacturing initiatives.
