Job description

JBS Carriers is a leading multi-state and regional truckload carrier specializing in refrigerated and non-refrigerated freight, including live haul (cattle, hogs and poultry), tankers, container chassis and grain hoppers. We offer well-paying truck driving opportunities with daily home time. Check out our shuttle, local, and short-haul positions and see if we're in your area! Earn $57,000 - $72,500 per year!

Driver Pay Rates
  • Earn $57,000 - $72,500 per year
  • Average $245-$270 daily, depending on runs
  • Downtime Pay
  • Holiday Pay
  • Orientation Pay: $600 (upon completion of orientation)

Benefits & Bonuses
$2,000 RETENTION BONUS!

Work & Route
  • Days/Shifts: Monday through Friday with mandatory 6th day when needed
  • Hours: 8 to 14-hour days, varies on plant needs/changes and driver capacity
  • Start Times: 11am, 3pm or 7pm
  • Pickups/Deliveries: Typically 2 loads per day
  • Driving/Delivery Area: Local loads from area processing plants to Mount Pleasant Rendering Plant, Rendering plant to feed mills and pet manufacturers
  • Equipment: day cabs and sleeper trucks with automatic transmission
  • Load: some live unload 40' - 45' hopper trailers, tankers, dump trailers. Approximately 80% pre-loaded and ready to pull
  • Must be willing to cross train and pull hopper bottom and fat tanker loads when necessary
  • Home Time: daily (rare occasions of spending the night in truck/motel)

CDL-A Shuttle/Short-haul/Local Truck Driver Requirements:
  • At least 21 years old
  • CDL-A with 1 year tractor trailer experience
  • Must have 48'-53' tractor trailer experience
  • Mentor and Training programs are available for drivers with less than 1 year of experience
