Job description

OFFICE & OPERATIONS COORDINATORAbout BigGeoBigGeo is the Spatial Cloud. We help companies manage and access the world's spatial data.Any size, any slice, any insight.Delivered in seconds.BigGeo is defining a new infrastructure category for how spatial and temporal data is organized, accessed, computed, and used across systems, organizations, and AI.The Spatial Cloud provides a unified architecture that enables organizations to manage spatial data they own, access spatial data from external sources, and produce decision-ready intelligence in seconds.By combining Unified Data, Real-Time Compute, and Governed Monetization, BigGeo transforms fragmented spatial datasets into a shared operational layer that powers real-world awareness across industries, infrastructure systems, and AI platforms. Why BigGeo Exists and Why People Build HereWe don't start by asking why you'd be a good fit for us. We start by being clear about what we're building and why it matters.BigGeo is building the Spatial Cloud, a foundational infrastructure for how spatial data is managed, accessed, and used in real time across systems, AI, and organizations.Joining BigGeo means contributing to technology that is shaping a new category as it takes form. The BigGeo team is AI-enabled, cross-functional, and highly collaborative. We value ownership, clarity, and leveraging AI tools to build incredible momentum. The work moves quickly, expectations are high, and impact is visible because what we build is used in real-world environments. At BigGeo, you will: Contribute to systems that influence how spatial data is managed and applied Leverage cutting edge AI tools so that your work shows up in real, high-impact use cases Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team solving complex, meaningful problems Work in an environment where autonomy is trusted, results matter, and AI tools are harnessed to boost creativity, output, and results If you want to do work with real-world impact and help build foundational technology that changes how organizations understand and use spatial intelligence, BigGeo is the place to build that future. The RoleThe Office & Operations Coordinator owns the operational and administrative overflow that keeps BigGeo running day to day, taking convoluted recurring work and turning it into real, repeatable systems, with office logistics as one piece of a much bigger mandate. This role is built for a true generalist, the kind of person who becomes the go-to problem-solver wherever they land and doesn't need a job description to know what needs doing. As BigGeo scales the Spatial Cloud, this is where operational ownership starts, with a clear runway into broader Operations. What You'll Do Own recurring administrative and operational tasks, turning one-off, convoluted tasks into systems that run themselves Build and maintain lightweight processes across Monday.com, Slack, Google Workspace, and Linear so nothing falls through the cracks Keep the Calgary office running, organizing storage, restocking supplies, and handling general upkeep. Spot the gaps nobody's assigned and close them. Use AI tools to accelerate documentation, scheduling, and repetitive admin work, freeing up time for the judgment calls that actually need a person Take on new operational domains as you prove yourself, with a clear path toward owning broader Operations systems over time Partner directly with the Chief of Staff on whatever the company needs next, priorities shift fast, and so will you You'll work primarily in Monday.com, Slack, Google Workspace, and Linear. What You BringRequired: 2-5 years in an operations, executive support, or generalist role where you owned processes, not just executed tasks. Strong systems instincts, comfortable turning a messy recurring task into something repeatable across tools like Monday.com, Slack, and Google Workspace. A genuine generalist mentality, you enjoy variety and actively resist being boxed into one lane. Comfortable owning physical office logistics, organizing storage, supplies, and general upkeep, as one part of a much broader role. Proactive by nature, you solve problems nobody assigned to you and don't wait for a job description to tell you what's next. Comfort using AI tools to accelerate documentation, scheduling, and day-to-day admin work. Nice to Have: Exposure to Monday or similar issue-tracking automation tools for ops and cross-team work. Startup or early-stage company experience, where roles are fluid and ownership expands fast. A track record of becoming "the glue" in past workplaces, the person others go to.
