Job description

The Spa at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club is seeking a talented Bridal Makeup Artist to join our team. If you have a passion for beauty and creativity, this is an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills in a dynamic environment. For more information, contact Megan Kelley at mkelley@baybeachclub.com
Responsibilities
  • Apply makeup to beautify, enhance or alter the features of the client preparing for special occasions, primarily wedding events.
  • Cleanse and prep the skin as needed to prepare it for the application of makeup.
  • Analyze skin tones and facial features to determine what shades and types of makeup will be the best fit for each client.
  • Study each client's skin type and select products that will not irritate the skin or contribute to breakouts.
  • Prepare beauty supplies and tools for each application.
  • Consult with each client to achieve the desired look when applying makeup.
  • Document specific looks by taking photos regularly and writing makeup sheets that can be referred to for future use.

Requirements
  • Detailed knowledge of the latest products, services and industry techniques.
  • Up to date portfolio of makeup looks created.
  • High school or equivalent.
  • Current certification and licensure per requirement of the State of Maryland Board.

Compensation
  • 100% commission.
  • Tips and gratuity.

Work Environment
The Bridal Makeup Artist works in The Spa or assigned area on property. The atmosphere should always maintain a quiet and relaxing environment.
Work Schedule Expectation:
This position has a flexible work schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays based on clients' needs and expectations.
