Job description

Grind Dept. Precision grinding and machining

Allways Precision has an excellent career opportunity in our Surface Grinding Department. A good candidate will have a solid knowledge of surface grinding, machining, mechanical restoration of machinery, and a stong foundation of general industrial equipment. Way grinding, box way grinding , dove grinding, and flat scraping abilities and experience is preferred. We are also willing to train a candidate who already has some basic knowledge in these areas.

Qualifications

The right candidate will have a high mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with skills in the following areas:

  • Working knowledge of different types of shop equipment including , surface grinders, knee mills, lathes, powered scrapers, manual scrapers.
  • Capability to hold tight tolerances to 0.0002”
  • The ability to perform mechanical assembly of machine segments with close fit tolerances
  • Will have your own tools including; indicators, micrometers, calipers, wrenches, screwdrivers, dead blow hammers, etc.
  • Working knowledge of micrometers, and dial indicators.
  • Shop Math skills and the ability apply therory and develop a process.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Team orientated, willing to cross train.
