POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position: Club Lead Job Posting Title: Club Lead - Waldorf & Waldorf-Inspired Programs
General Purpose
Under the supervision of an Area Director, Club Leaders plan, oversee, and administer all program activities offered at a school-based or stand-alone facility. Program areas include Academic Success, Character & Leadership Development, Sports, Fitness & Recreation, The Arts, Health & Life Skills, and enrichment activities designed to support the developmental needs of young people.
This position serves one of Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin's Waldorf or Waldorf-inspired after school programs. We are seeking an experienced educational leader who is passionate about whole-child learning and has experience in Waldorf, Waldorf-inspired, Montessori, or Reggio Emilia educational environments.
Club Leaders are responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where youth thrive through high-quality expanded learning opportunities. At Waldorf and Waldorf-inspired campuses, Club Leaders partner with school staff to deliver programming that reflects the educational philosophy and culture of the assigned campus while maintaining the mission, standards, and operational expectations of Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Utilize programs developed locally and by Boys & Girls Clubs of America to create an environment that fosters a sense of belonging, usefulness, competence, and influence for youth while supporting the educational philosophy of the assigned campus.
• Partner with school leadership to ensure after school programming complements the culture, philosophy, and educational approach of the assigned Waldorf or Waldorf-inspired campus.
• Recruit and retain Members through flyers, newsletters, family engagement, school partnerships, and word-of-mouth. Responsible for meeting goals for membership, attendance, and impact metrics.
• Maintain a safe, clean, welcoming environment. Ensure proper use and maintenance of Club equipment, property, outdoor spaces, and program materials.
• Employ trauma-informed behavior management tools to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all Members while fostering respectful, relationship-centered learning environments.
• Establish strong relationships with parents, teachers, school administration, and community partners.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate all direct reports, ensuring a positive and dynamic relationship between staff and Members. May include volunteers and independent contractors. Actively lead recruitment efforts and coach staff in both organizational expectations and the philosophy of the assigned campus.
• Manage financial resources while adhering to the monthly budget.
• Complete all administrative tasks in accordance with organizational deadlines. Duties include, but are not limited to, bi-weekly payroll, weekly attendance tracking, monthly performance reviews, and required organizational reporting.

• Serve meals to Members.
• Supervise Members during meal service time.
• Display Civil Rights poster and menu at the service location.
• Count meals and record information per CACFP/SFSP requirements.
• Complete meal order forms.
• Collect menu production records and transport records.

Requirements
Education and/or Experience
• Minimum of three years' work experience leading programs in an after school, school, Waldorf, Waldorf-inspired, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, early childhood, or similar youth-serving educational environment.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with, manage, lead, and motivate a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, or related field preferred.
• Experience working in a Waldorf, Waldorf-inspired, Montessori, or Reggio Emilia educational environment is strongly preferred. Candidates with demonstrated experience implementing whole-child, inquiry-based, or experiential learning philosophies are highly encouraged to apply.
• Leadership skills, including conflict resolution, problem solving, decision making, and delegation.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Mandatory negative TB test or assessment.
