ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Box Office Floating Supervisor is a versatile, multi-functional role designed to provide support across multiple areas of box office and event operations. This position offers the opportunity to work in a variety of capacities, including Ticket Seller, Event Supervisor, and Seasonal Outdoor Ice Rink Supervisor. The ideal candidate is a dependable, customer-focused leader who can adapt quickly to changing operational needs, provide excellent guest service, support staff, and take ownership of assigned responsibilities. This role requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to successfully manage both front-line customer interactions and supervisory responsibilities.
During the winter season (November through February), this position will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Worcester Common Oval outdoor skating rink, including staff supervision, guest experience, operational procedures, and facility coordination.
Compensation for this position will be based on the specific assignment worked each day, with different pay rates corresponding to the responsibilities and level of oversight required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide leadership and operational support during events and seasonal Worcester Common Oval outdoor skating rink operations by supervising staff, coordinating assignments, monitoring guest service and daily operations, assisting with opening/closing procedures, completing required reports and cash reconciliation, resolving guest concerns, communicating with management, and ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in customer service, ticketing, hospitality, recreation, event operations, or a similar customer-facing environment; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service while working independently and making sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience handling cash and using ticketing or point-of-sale systems is preferred.

  • Reliable with excellent attendance and the flexibility to work multiple assignments, including required seasonal schedules.

  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and adaptable while managing changing operational needs. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, and lift or move supplies as needed.

  • Ability to interact professionally with guests, employees, and management while maintaining a positive and team-oriented attitude.

COMPENSATION
Hourly Rate: $19.00
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions during seasonal rink operations.

  • Schedule includes days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events based on operational needs.

  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods, with occasional lifting and moving of supplies or equipment.
