Position Summary
A Guest Services Representative is an on-call, per-event employee who will act as the primary provider of direct service to guests as they are entertained at the Mullett Arena. They are responsible for providing a safe environment for our guests and ensuring all service needs are met. Guest Services Representatives may support Guest Services roles in the following areas: usher, ticket taker, and/or door guards.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $17.00.

About the Venue
OVG has openings for Guest Services Representatives on the campus of Arizona State University for the new 5,000-seat multi-purpose arena and community ice rink. The new Mullett Arena opened in the fall of 2022 and is the home of the ASU Sun Devil Men's Ice Hockey, ASU Wrestling, and Women's Volleyball programs; the G-League Valley Suns; as well as a variety of events, including concerts, family shows, comedy, and other live events. The new community ice rink will serve as a public venue for the community and will host hockey and skating programming, youth competitions, educational opportunities, and more.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to all guests
- Greet and scan tickets as guests enter the building
- Greet and usher guests to their seats
- Provide directional assistance to guests throughout facility
- Control and monitor all access to all restricted areas for events
- Provide a safe and secure environment for Mullett Arena
- Report actual/suspected violations of Mullett Arena policies, procedures, rules, or regulations to your supervisor.
- Complete an incident report on a timely basis, as required
- Ensure emergency exits are clear at all times, and assist guests with any needs exit safely
- Act as a member of the emergency evacuation team by directing guests to emergency exits
- Move around to various positions/locations as event needs
- Hand out materials to guests as needed for events
- Follow all event procedures and safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service assistance to all clients
- Employee must frequently communicate in-person and via in-house radios with supervisors to exchange information.
- All other duties assigned by Event Manager, Event Coordinator, and or Supervisor
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must have demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Customer service experience and exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Comfortable working with the public with an outgoing and friendly personality
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of team, remaining flexible in your role
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work a minimum of 2 events per month at the Mullett Arena.
- Ability to stand in one location for extended periods of time.
- Ability to occasionally be required to lift and/or move heavy objects.
