Job description

The Skating School Instructor is responsible for providing skating instruction to students following the Learn to Skate USA program.
  • Responsible for reporting to all scheduled classes and having lesson plans prepared prior to class start.
  • Follows Learn to Skate Program and Learn to Play Program requirements and formats.
  • Keeps accurate attendance records on all students.
  • Notifies supervisor if any accidents occur and brings the student to the first aid room.
  • Completes periodic evaluations for students to ensure proper level assignment.
  • Answers parent questions and performs equipment checks as requested.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as required.
  • Learn to Skate USA membership required
  • Minimum Level of Education Required None Required; Professional Skating Instructor continuing education preferred
  • Minimum Level of Experience Required Coaching experience preferred, but not required
  • Working Conditions Ability to lift 50-75 pounds

This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $32.00. This position includes paid sick leave where required by law. Eligibility, accrual, and usage will follow applicable state and local regulations.
