How much do skateboard design jobs pay per hour?
What Are the Qualifications to Get a Skateboard Design Job?
The primary qualifications for getting a skateboard design job depend on the position but usually involve several years of experience on smaller projects and a digital portfolio to showcase your work. Some employers prefer applicants who have at least a bachelor's degree—especially for designing skate parks as well as graphic elements—but for others, education may not be quite as important as your proven ability to design products. Fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of a skateboard design job requires communication and artistic skills, knowledge of the production process you are involved with, and the ability to incorporate feedback from a variety of sources. Experience is precious in this industry, so the more time you spend designing skateboards, parks, or related products, the better. It’s also beneficial to have a passion for skateboarding.

What is the difference between Skateboard Design vs Skateboard Manufacturing?
| Aspect | Skateboard Design | Skateboard Manufacturing |
|---|---|---|
| Required Credentials | Design skills, CAD software proficiency, artistic ability | Engineering knowledge, manufacturing processes, quality control |
| Work Environment | Design studios, offices, creative spaces | Factories, production lines, workshops |
| Industry Usage | Concept creation, visual design, product development | Production, assembly, quality assurance |
Skateboard Design focuses on creating the visual and functional concepts of skateboards, emphasizing creativity and aesthetics. In contrast, Skateboard Manufacturing involves the physical production, assembly, and quality control of skateboards. Both roles are essential in the skateboard industry but differ in skills, environment, and responsibilities.
