Job description

SK pharmteco is a custom manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs, Drug Substances) and registered intermediates for customers in the pharmaceutical industry. Our integrated facilities located in California and Texas specialize in process development, scale-up, and cGMP compliant production from kilograms to multi-ton quantities. We are looking for an Operation Supervisor to join our team in Rancho Cordova, CA (greater Sacramento area). We are a 24/7/365 manufacturing facility. This will be a 4 on, 3 off, 3 on, 4 off schedule. Day shift training to start and then this position will go to the off-shift.


JOB DUTIES

  • Professionally manage/supervise any and all incidents, preparing daily status reports, delegating resources, resolving conflict, leveraging support systems as needed.
  • Document investigations of process deviations, variances, and accidents.
  • Interaction with various support groups in and outside of the manufacturing branch of Rancho Cordova.
  • Address technical problems related to chemical processes.
  • Work with outside emergency responders and other service providers as needed.
  • 8-12 hour shifts will be expected with night, weekend, and holiday coverage.
  • Keeping management informed of all activities will be required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Typically requires 3-5 years of experience in the related area as an individual contributor and bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Prefer a bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or BS in Chemistry.
  • Preferred previous supervisory experience.
  • Preferred familiarity with organized labor.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work in chemical manufacturing plant.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite and standard office equipment.
  • Management experience of a unionized workforce preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • A combination of working in the plant facilities and in an office setting
  • 12 hour shifts, including either day shift or grave shift - more than likely this will be a 4pm to 4am shift
  • Ability to wear proper PPE including full face respirators for short periods of time
