JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Specialist, Production FLSA CLASS: Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Group Leader, Production REVISION DATE: May 1, 2025

SCOPE: This position is responsible for producing quality tubing by ensuring established production goals are met, adhering to safety guidelines, and keeping work areas clean. All Manufacturing Specialists are responsible for cultivating an environment that is physically and emotionally safe for all employees.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Producing quality tubing by ensuring established production goals are met, to include:

Ensuring tube is cut to correct length (ID and OD).

Transferring, cutting, chamfering, inspecting, loading & unloading tube.

Performing changeover of machine specifications to adjust sizing of tubing according to customerโ€™s order.

Operating gage and tooling controls.

Identifying and recording problems and initiating resolution.

Continuous visual inspection of tube for scratches, cracks, rust, dirt & oil.

Adhering to safety guidelines; keeping work area clean.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Mathematical, reading and writing abilities necessary.

Mechanical aptitude helpful.

Ability to read and interpret specification sheets helpful.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Exposure to loud noise levels, dust, heat and cold and various chemicals while in plant area (lubricants, cutting fluids, drawing oils). Stooping, reaching, climbing and lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Hardhats, safety shoes, earplugs and safety glasses are a requirement to be worn at all times while in the plant.
