About SiTime

SiTime is the Precision Timing company.

Timing is the heartbeat of all electronics, ensuring performance, resilience and scalability. For decades, quartz devices, non-silicon technology, have kept systems in sync, but they struggle in harsher, more demanding environments. MEMS-based Precision Timing delivers greater accuracy, smaller size and resilience. Today, MEMS timing powers over 400 applications, including high-growth ones in AI datacenters, automated driving, industrial and humanoid robots, wearables and IoT.

Our semiconductor MEMS programmable solutions offer a rich feature set that enables customers to differentiate their products with higher performance, smaller size, lower power, and better reliability. With more than 4 billion devices shipped, SiTime is changing the timing industry. For more information, visit: www.sitime.com.

Job Summary:

As a Sr. MEMS NPI Engineer, you will play a key role in transitioning SiTime’s next‑generation MEMS timing products from early development into production readiness. You will coordinate internal build activities, develop advanced data‑analysis tools, perform detailed device‑level evaluations, and lead technical investigations to resolve performance or reliability issues. You will design and analyze engineering experiments, provide data‑driven insights to guide product decisions, and maintain essential NPI documentation throughout the development cycle. This role requires strong analytical skills, cross‑functional collaboration, and the ability to drive technical execution in a fast‑paced environment. It is not necessary to meet all job requirements to be a qualified candidate for the position.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute NPI builds (EVT/DVT/PVT) by coordinating internal readiness across design, test, packaging, and operations.
  • Develop and maintain Python/MATLAB analysis tools to automate data processing, visualization, and reporting.
  • Analyze device data (wafer, probe, assembly, final test) to evaluate product performance, maturity, and engineering risks.
  • Lead structured technical investigations to identify root causes and resolve issues affecting device performance or reliability.
  • Run and interpret engineering experiments/DOEs to validate design assumptions and support key technical decisions.
  • Prepare and maintain NPI documentation including build reports, control plans, PFMEAs, and qualification inputs, while tracking milestones and risks.

Qualifications & Requirements (Education must be included):

  • MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related field (BS with strong relevant experience considered).
  • 3-5+ years of experience in MEMS development, semiconductor devices, hardware NPI, or related engineering roles.
  • Proficiency in Python and MATLAB for data analysis, automation, and visualization.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor device behavior, MEMS fundamentals, or test engineering.
  • Experience with statistical analysis, DOE methods, and structured problem‑solving methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced development environment with evolving requirements.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing flows and supplier interactions is beneficial.

Desired Characteristics & Attributes:

  • Analytical, detail‑oriented engineer who enjoys deep‑dive data investigations.
  • Proactive problem‑solver who takes ownership of technical challenges.
  • Strong collaborator who works effectively across internal engineering teams.
  • Clear, concise communicator with strong follow‑through and organization.

Compensation Range:

At SiTime, we believe great work deserves great rewards. We offer a comprehensive and highly competitive compensation package designed to attract top talent.

The annual base salary range for this role is $138,800.00 – $190,850.00. The final offer is determined by factors such as location, experience, education, and training.
