Job description

Blueline Security Solutions is a growing security firm based in Mokena, Illinois delivering structured protection programs that combine trained security personnel, mobile patrols, surveillance technology, and executive protection for clients across a wide range of industries. We are seeking a motivated and results-driven full-time Business Development Manager to help expand our client base throughout the Chicagoland area and Midwest region.
This position is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing new business opportunities for security guard and protective services, including armed and unarmed security, mobile patrol, fire watch, surveillance technology, executive protection, event security, and customized staffing solutions.
The ideal candidate understands the contract security industry, knows how to build long-term client relationships, and can independently manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution and client onboarding. This role requires a consultative sales approach focused on identifying client pain points, understanding operational needs, and presenting customized security solutions.
This is a hybrid role involving remote work, field sales activity, onsite client meetings, networking events, and site visits throughout the Chicagoland area and Midwest region.
Responsibilities:
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities for security guard and protective services throughout the Chicagoland area and Midwest region.
Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline through cold calling, prospecting, referrals, networking, and industry engagement.
Conduct client outreach to property managers, warehouses, logistics companies, construction firms, healthcare facilities, retailers, municipalities, educational institutions, and other target markets.
Schedule and conduct in-person meetings, site visits, security assessments, and client consultations.
Prepare customized service proposals, pricing structures, and service agreements based on client needs and operational requirements.
Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting and relationship development through contract negotiation and client onboarding.
Collaborate with operations leadership to ensure smooth implementation and transition of newly awarded accounts.
Maintain accurate pipeline reporting, forecasting, CRM updates, and sales activity documentation.
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, industry partners, and decision-makers.
Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and upsell additional services.
Participate in networking events, trade associations, chamber meetings, and industry conferences.
Assist with proposal writing, RFP submissions, bid preparation, and strategic growth initiatives.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities throughout the Midwest region.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
3-7+ years of business development, sales, or account management experience within the security, contract security, staffing, or related service industry.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and revenue goals.
Experience independently managing the full sales cycle, including prospecting, client meetings, proposal development, contract negotiation, and onboarding.
Strong understanding of security guard operations and client service expectations across multiple industries.
Ability to travel throughout Chicagoland and the Midwest region as needed.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Must have a valid PERC license or be able to obtain one within first 60 days of employment.
Qualifications:
Existing professional network within commercial real estate, logistics, construction, manufacturing, healthcare, or security industries.
Experience selling contract-based or integrated security solutions beyond traditional guard staffing.
Familiarity with workforce management systems, guard scheduling platforms, or security operations software.
Experience responding to RFPs, government bids, or commercial bid processes.
Knowledge of OSHA standards, workplace safety regulations, and security industry best practices.
Knowledge of Illinois security licensing requirements, including PERC regulations.
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, criminal justice, or a related field preferred but not required.
