Job description


Soar Autism Center is hiring for anEarly Intervention Specialistto be part of our transformative team dedicated to fostering the development of children with autism. As a care provider at our center, you will apply behavioral and developmental strategies to assist in our childrens development. In turn,you will teach skills that provide a critical foundation for a child's growth and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide attentive one-on-one careand behavioral/developmental support to children aged 2-6, emphasizing a nurturing and encouraging environment

  • Implement care plansunder the guidance of our clinical team, ensuring they are suitable for the learning and growth of children

  • Build relationships with children's families

What the job is like:

  • Challenges: Can be demanding at times working with children, some routine care like diaper changes

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent, is required (as verified by resume, application, or BACB attestation for RBT certification)

  • Interest in and experience working with children -- we are open to a diverse set of backgrounds and experiences in working with with kids

  • Preference given to those currently in a degree program or holding a degree

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

  • Must have reliable transportation to both training location and local center. Punctuality isessential

  • Must be able to meet the following physical requirements: sit and stand frequently, shift positions quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., sit/kneel on the floor for extended periods of time, sit in a chair, stand, walk, and occasionally run short distances to catch up with a client
