Registered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT)
Location: Salem, VA (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time & PRN
Shift: 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000
Salary-$70,000
Vendor fee-$2500

Position Overview
A leading healthcare services provider is seeking an experienced Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide sleep services in Salem, VA. This role supports comprehensive sleep disorder diagnosis and treatment in a clinical sleep lab environment.
Competitive hourly rates are offered based on experience and patient ratio.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct overnight polysomnographic sleep studies
  • Prepare and calibrate sleep lab equipment
  • Apply electrodes and sensors according to established protocols
  • Fit and monitor airway pressure masks
  • Score and analyze clinical events, including respiratory and cardiac episodes
  • Compile and submit accurate sleep study data for physician review
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedural standards
Required Qualifications
  • Active Virginia Department of Health Professions License
  • Completion of an accredited Polysomnography program
  • RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) certification
    OR
    Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
  • Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification
  • Vaccination and immunization documentation as required
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear for extended periods
  • Strong visual acuity (close, distance, peripheral, depth perception)
  • Regular lifting of up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent use of hands to operate medical and office equipment
