Summary:
Under the direction of the Chief Academic Officer, the SIS Data Coordinator is responsible for the collection, analysis, reporting enrollment, and program data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The list of essential functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented.
  • Implements a data collection plan to track and report program and district-wide data
  • Interpret data in multiple formats, analyze the results and produce reports to present to stakeholders.
  • Assist in assigned activities related to student enrollment procedures, student attendance and/or program components including but not limited to compliance, critical timeliness, enrollment guidelines for ensuring compliance with legal and/or administration requirements
  • Responsible for compliance with State instructional minute requirements for all sites, as well as JTED compliance
  • Assists with annual Federal/State Audits for the District regarding student accountability
  • Assist with ensuring of audit compliance
  • Assists with publishing and correction of data between SIS and AZEDs
  • Analyze student data in the student information system to ensure accuracy
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies
  • Assist in reconciling and updating student data as necessary
  • Create bell schedules, calendars, teachers sections, courses, attendance configuration in PowerSchool
  • Assists and supports staff with PowerSchool
  • Works with the Enrollment services team to ensure the student online registration meets the needs of the SIS database
  • Reconcile 40th and 100th day reports from ADE with SIS.
  • Correct SAIS discrepancies with concurrencies, integrity failures and SAIS errors
  • Develops, implements, and manages PowerSchool data integration with the JTED registration system and the current SIS (PowerSchool)
  • Support all ADM related tasks and projects
  • Setup and manage information in the student information system, performs related tasks, requests of the SIS, and pulls data as needed from the SIS
  • Compile, analyze and report data identified in the data collection plans
  • Ensures state compliance with student enrollment and attendance
  • Works with member districts to ensure state compliance with student enrollment, certification, and other requirements of The Arizona Department of Education
  • Independently researches, creates, maintains, and processes a wide variety of complex materials, such as reports, spreadsheets, correspondence, etc.
  • Assists with data projects and provides data reports based on the needs of the Pima County JTED administration
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications/Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor Degree in related field or 2 years of recent experience in a similar area
  • Experience with gathering, analyzing, and reporting data, strongly preferred
  • Experience working with Student Information Systems (SIS) and AZEDS, strongly preferred
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with parents, students, school districts, community, Department of Education, state and federal agencies, strongly preferred
  • Experience with HTML, CMS, CCS, PHP, SQL, SPSS, and/or MySQL, preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficient and highly skilled with data collection software, and other relevant computer software

applications such as; Microsoft Office, Google Apps, etc.
  • Thorough knowledge of Career and Technical Education and the CTE Data Portal
  • Highly organized, ability to prioritize workload, and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Self-motivated, problem-solving skills, and detail oriented
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, or with a team, and exercise sound judgment
  • Customer focused, and models exemplary customer service in all facets of the job

Additional Requirements:
  • Must pass a fingerprint background check
  • Proof of MMR immunization required unless born prior to January 1, 1957
  • Negative TB test (within the last year)
  • Valid Arizona driver's license

Salary Range: $24.00 - $30.00 DOE
