Department/Location: Pastoral Services Department/St. Augustine Cathedral, Tucson, AZ
Primary Function: Under the direction of the Diocesan and Cathedral Director of Liturgical Music is responsible for singing in the Schola for some Sunday services and diocesan liturgical celebrations. A schola member shall be a minister of the Gospel and Catholic teaching both academically and behaviorally while at work and in personal life. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Physical/Mental Requirements: Requires coordination and manual dexterity, normal mental and visual ability; ability to lift as required in a normal musical environment.
Required Activities: Walking; sitting; standing; stooping; reaching; talking; handling, hearing; carrying; and keyboarding.

- Perform as a lay minister in support of the parish's spiritual and pastoral mission.
- Shall abide by Catholic principles in the singer's professional and private life, and shall govern his/her professional and private life in strict accordance with Catholic morals and principles to demonstrate complete adherence to Catholic moral strictures;
- Perform as a singer for the assigned musical events.
- Maintain Church protocol including maintaining an environment of respect and solemnity at all liturgical celebrations
- Maintain open communications with volunteer musicians
- Perform other duties as assigned.
