Job description

KRCR is looking for a dynamic full-time Anchor/Reporter to join our #1 team in Northern California! In addition to being an outstanding journalist with a great personality, you need to be a team leader for our outstanding weekday morning newscast. Our anchors are leaders who create content and help in the planning and execution of our newscasts. Daily responsibilities may include feature reporting, editorial duties, or basic newsgathering assignments. A competitive passion to win and openness to innovation are mandatory! Our winning candidate will be someone who embraces social media and knows how to consistently engage with the audience. Collaboration and mentorship are a big part of this role!

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong Leadership and communication skills
  • Smooth/pleasant delivery
  • Strong writing skills and news judgment
  • Sharp video shooting and editing skills
  • Experience on social media platforms

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • One year of on-air experience at a commercial TV or college TV station preferred
  • Strong live and field skills
  • Exceptional written communication skills using a conversational writing style
  • Strong editorial judgment and a proven ethical foundation

The base hourly compensation range for this role is $25.75 to $32.17 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
