Location: Redstone Arsenal
Position Type: Full-Time
Clearance Requirement: Active Top Secret (TS) Clearance Required to Start


Position Summary

We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Access and Escort Specialist to support operations in secure government environments at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. The selected candidate will be responsible for controlling facility access, escorting personnel and visitors within controlled areas, supporting physical security operations, and ensuring compliance with federal security standards and site-specific procedures.

This position requires strong communication skills, reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work in both office and industrial/construction environments while maintaining strict adherence to security protocols.


Key Responsibilities

  • Escort personnel, contractors, and visitors in controlled or restricted environments, including office spaces, construction sites, and secure facilities
  • Process visitor requests and site access documentation in accordance with established security procedures
  • Create, issue, and manage badges and access credentials for authorized personnel
  • Restrict and control access to sensitive or classified areas while positively identifying personnel through established procedures
  • Support limited background investigation activities, including collecting required documentation and fingerprinting support
  • Assist Physical Security personnel with conducting basic facility security checks and inspections
  • Ensure physical security systems and equipment remain operational and report deficiencies as required
  • Monitor for and report suspicious activities, incidents, or security concerns to designated security officials or law enforcement personnel
  • Operate associated IT systems, databases, and equipment related to access control and visitor management
  • Wear appropriate safety equipment and comply with OSHA standards, federal regulations, and site safety requirements
  • Stand and/or walk for extended periods throughout the workday while maintaining situational awareness and professionalism


Required Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret (TS) Clearance required prior to start date
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain and maintain site access credentials
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain strict confidentiality
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, and escort personnel for extended periods in varying environments and weather conditions


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior military, law enforcement, security, or access control experience
  • Experience supporting federal government or Department of Defense environments
  • Familiarity with badge systems, visitor control systems, and physical security procedures
  • Experience working within secure or classified facilities
