Job description

Sonalysts, Inc is seeking a software engineer with critical thinking and effective communication skills to perform system and software engineering functions for defense system development projects.
What you will be doing:
  • Work on interesting and challenging software project such as:
    • Developing and maintaining the Model Based Systems Engineering plan for complex Department of Defense systems of system programs
    • Modeling and simulation of undersea weapons and launcher systems
  • Participate in various aspects of software development including Application Programming Interfaces (API) development, systems integration, and testing.
  • Participate in all areas of the software development lifecycle from planning through test and sustainment.
  • Collaborate across a diverse team of developers, engineers, testers, stakeholders and end users.
  • Majority of work must be performed on site at Sonalysts or Government facilities.

Required Qualifications:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, eligible for a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance*
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical degree
  • 1-4 years' experience in software engineering, systems engineering and application development

Strongly Desired Experience/Qualifications:
  • Possess an active Department of Defense SECRET security clearance*
  • Experience with CAMEO or other MBSE tools
  • Experience with MATLAB, or python
