Summary of Job Duties:
Support the daily operation of the Center for Simulation Innovation, maintain Human Simulators and lab equipment, manage Simulation Lab supplies, perform Pre-Simulation activities, execute Simulation experience, perform post-simulation activities, provide technical support, maintain documentation and resources, and maintain Professional Development. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
Qualifications:
Required Education and or Experience:
  • High school diploma;
  • Currently enrolled in the AAS nursing program at the UA Little Rock School of Nursing.

Preferred Education and or Experience:
  • Simulation, nursing, and/or medical experience is preferred by not required.

Job Duties:
  • Supporting Daily Operations of the Center for Simulation Innovation (CSI);
  • Maintaining Human Simulators and Lab Equipment;
  • Managing Simulation Lab Supplies;
  • Performing Pre-Simulation Activities;
  • Executing Simulation Experience;
  • Performing Post-Simulation Activities;
  • Technical Support;
  • Maintaining Documentation and Resources;
  • Maintaining Professional Development.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of basic simulation principles;
  • Knowledge of basic simulation equipment;
  • Knowledge of basic simulation technologies and audiovisual equipment;
  • Ability to ensure appropriate setup and breakdown of simulation skills and scenarios including manikins, task trainers, hospital equipment, and supplies;
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs;
  • Ability to effectively communicate with simulation faculty, staff, and students;
  • Ability to anticipate needs and initiate tasks without direct supervision;
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing simulation demands as needed;
  • Ability to maintain simulation center cleanliness;
  • Ability to professionally conduct simulation center tours.
