Job description


Job Summary: The Dispatcher is responsible for scheduling all equipment, personnel and paperwork required to cover jobs that maximize revenue and decrease cost, liability, and risk. Essential Functions:
  • Support all corporate departments such as Human Resources, Safety & Risk, Fleet Operations, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sales, and Executive team. Respond to corporate requests in a timely manner
  • Maintain an understanding of company policies and procedures. Review company handbook periodically to ensure accurate knowledge
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards as well as all government regulations
  • Create and nurture a positive work environment by treating others with mutual respect and concern.
  • Maintain an accurate dispatch schedule at all times by constantly coordinating and update the schedule as jobs are submitted and as schedule changes based on urgency and availability.
  • Evaluate each job and its respective needs by verifying operator’s credentials, rigging, and paperwork; verify information collected by sales from customer (insurance, credit card/payment information, or PO number)
  • Manage company assets and employees in an efficient manner by offering responsible and innovative solutions to common dispatch issues ensuring safety standards and compliance.
  • Electronically generate job tickets for all labor staff and ensure the tickets are electronically completed by an appropriate employee at the end of each day
  • May be responsible for other duties such as “grading out” job tickets and preparing them for billing, approving payroll daily, assist in office support operations (i.e. order office supplies, answers phones, and maintain records)
  • Serve as main point of contact between field personnel and management
  • Work with the operations manager and branch manager to schedule and prioritize repairs and maintenance as required, including opening and managing work orders.

  • Ability to be reachable by phone twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week
  • Proficient in various software and tech-savvy with digital tools and platforms.
Minimum Requirements
  • Two (2) years logistics experience and one (1) year supervisory experience OR Four (4) years military experience and two (2) years supervisory experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to understand, speak, read, and write in English.
