GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Neurology for a travel nursing job in Phoenix, Arizona.

RN - Neuro Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 4 total weekend shifts per 8 weeks required
• Holidays worked into permanent holiday rotation based on unit coverage
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; neuro experience is a plus
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must be able to interpret EKG; central telemonitoring unit
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance - 2 attempts allowed
• Must pass orientation exam on day 1
• Must complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion - pass/fail
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Charting system: Cerner with WOWs (Workstations on Wheels)
• Scrub color: Steel gray
• Natural hair color required; no facial piercings permitted
• Men must be clean shaven for fit test
• Must have own vehicle
• 50-mile radius rule applies - no local rate
• Float to cardiac tele, tele overflow in ICU, and med/surg as needed
• 2-day floor-specific orientation provided
• Common diagnoses include CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, encephalopathy, ESRD, psych issues, brain tumors, and trached patients
• Administer and titrate Heparin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem
• Fast-paced, high-turnover unit with average length of stay of 4-5 days
• Bedside reporting required
• BSN not required

This acute care facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center offering comprehensive medical services across multiple campuses. The facility operates a 32-bed Neuro Telemetry unit with robust support services including 24/7 respiratory therapy, 24/7 centralized pharmacy, and a SWAT RN team available for difficult IV access. The organization maintains high clinical standards through rigorous skills validation, including SIMs Lab competency assessments, to ensure exceptional patient care delivery.
