Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

• Diploma completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No previous experience allowed for Staff at Program: SimpliFi Program - University of Louisville (UofL) and no current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - University of Louisville (UofL).

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - First-time travelers accepted with previous adult critical care experience. - Required skills include adult critical care, inhaled epoprostenol, intubation assist, bedside bronchoscopy/tracheostomy assist, oxygen therapy, high-flow oxygen therapy, aerosol treatment via SVN/Aerogen/MDI, and ABGs.

Required Credentials: - CRT considered with manager approval.

Unit Details: - Patient population includes COPD, asthma, respiratory failure, burns, strokes, and trauma. - Nitric oxide is only used in NICU. - Travelers are typically not trained in NICU or ER. - Uses Omnicell; unit equipment includes Medfusion for inhaled epoprostenol, PB 980, Nihon Kohden 440/550, Hamilton MRI, HT70, and V30 BiPAPs.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - No call. - Must be willing to work some holidays.

Floating Requirements: - Will float throughout the hospital.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 09/07/2026, 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 12/31/2026, 01/01/2027, 05/31/2027, 07/04/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 0

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
