WELL Health Diagnostic Centres, previously C-health, is looking for a skilled and certified Echo Technologist who will be responsible for processing and testing patients for 2D Echos. IV insertion is preferred but not mandatory.

Reporting to: Manager, Diagnostics

Responsibilities:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Responsible for ensuring patient identification, safety and preparation are correct prior to a scan while maintaining patient confidentiality.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Greet patient, explain forthcoming tests, position patient and generally prepare him/her for the examination.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Observe patient during the diagnostic procedure, making note of any symptoms or changes in vital signs and summoning medical aid when necessary.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Ensure all quality control assessments are performed as required. Take all reasonable precautions and work in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation, and best practices.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Confirm procedures for proper equipment maintenance are completed in accordance with department standards.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Ensure equipment and instruments are performing in an efficient and effective manner.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Prepare and organize reports as required.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:

  • 0-2 years of related experience - open to hiring new graduates!
  • Candidates must be ARDMS or Sonography Canada certified (Registration with ACMDTT is required).
  • Current CPR certificate.
  • ย ย Ability to perform various Echocardiogram machines (primarily Philips iE33, GE Vivid s6, GE Vivid E9)
  • The ability to perform Stress and Contrast Echocardiograms is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training.
  • Demonstrate effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A cheerful, positive attitude and the ability to work effectively with others as well as the ability to work independently and treat everyone with respect, dignity, and kindness.
