This position requires that the employee perform all essential duties as assigned by the Branch Operations Manager or Branch Manager of Klumb Lumber & Forest Products, Inc. which shall include the following:
• Inspect quantity of material to ensure that is the correct amount ordered.
• Inspect quality of material before shipping.
• Band material into sub-units for shipping.
• Maintain a clean workspace.
• Occasional forklift operation.
• Assist with various duties in the company as needed.
Requirements:
• Must be able to perform simple mathematics.
• Must have a minimum of one year lumber experience.
• Must be able to identify different species, grades and patterns of lumber.
• Must have one year of sitting forklift experience.
• Must have the ability to use a chop saw and bander.
Other Requirements:
  • Possess and maintain a valid Class A
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields
  • Safe driving and record (MVR)
  • Pass a company paid post-offer DOT physical and drug screen

Physical Demands:
• Ability to wear safety shoes.
• Minimally must be able to lift 40 pounds; ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Request assistance for loads over 75 pounds as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, crouch, kneel, and push and pull.
• Firm grasping using both hands.
• Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with the physical and environmental aspects typically associated with such environment.
• Requires ordinary conversation, hearing, and visual acuity.
