Operations and Fulfillment Associate - Warehouse & Assembly

Mountainside, New Jersey, US

Full time | Part time $17 - $20 per hour

Apex Sim Racing is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Operations & Fulfillment Associate to support daily operations across order fulfillment, inventory management, and product handling.

This is a hands-on role focused on picking, packing, shipping orders, receiving inventory, and maintaining an organized warehouse environment, along with supporting returns processing and product preparation.


The ideal candidate is reliable, efficient, and takes pride in accuracy and organization.


This role also includes assisting with turnkey sim rig builds and occasional on-site installations, requiring a willingness to work with tools and support technical assembly tasks.

You don't need to be a sim racer to succeed here, but if you are (or you're into PC building, racing sims, or hands-on tech), you'll feel right at home.


Responsibilities


Order Fulfillment & Warehouse Operations

  • Pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Ensure all outgoing orders are complete and meet quality standards
  • Receive incoming inventory and organize stock within the warehouse
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
  • Assist with inventory tracking, stock checks, and overall warehouse organization


Returns, Open-Box & Inventory Handling

  • Process returned merchandise, including inspection, testing, and condition documentation
  • Manage open-box inventory, including classification, tracking, and resale readiness
  • Determine appropriate handling of returned items (restock, open box, vendor return, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate records of returns, product condition, and inventory updates
  • Identify discrepancies and escalate issues when needed


Build & Installation Support

  • Assist with pre-assembly of sim rigs and turnkey builds in the warehouse
  • Support system builds, including mounting, cable management, and setup
  • Travel as needed to assist with on-site installations
  • Ensure builds are completed accurately and to a high standard


Operations Support

  • Assist with general operational tasks as needed
  • Support process improvements within warehouse and fulfillment workflows
  • Stay informed on products, inventory, and handling procedures


Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Reliable and able to work independently
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical, hands-on environment
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs regularly and assist with two-person lifts for heavy equipment and rig installations
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high level of accuracy
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for turn key installations
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset


Preferred Skills

  • Experience in warehouse operations, fulfillment, shipping, or inventory management
  • Experience with returns processing and product inspection
  • Hands-on experience with assembly, mechanical work, or technical builds
