The Opportunity
We are seeking a Business Development Director located in the Silicon Valley region to join our enterprise sales organization.
This is a consultative, new-business-focused individual contributor role responsible for identifying and developing high-value opportunities within technology-forward and innovation-driven organizations. You will engage senior executives, deeply understand customer strategies and growth challenges, and collaborate with internal subject matter experts to architect solutions that drive behavioral change and financial impact.
What You'll Do
* Identify, pursue, and close new enterprise business opportunities within the Silicon Valley market
* Engage C-suite and senior leaders in insight-driven, strategic conversations
* Diagnose complex business challenges and align BI WORLDWIDE solutions to customer priorities such as growth, productivity, and performance
* Partner with internal strategy, analytics, and creative teams to build and deliver differentiated solutions
* Navigate sophisticated, multi-stakeholder buying cycles from early discovery through close
Qualifications
* Must be currently located in the Silicon Valley.
* Minimum seven years of direct B2B enterprise sales experience, calling on Fortune 1000 companies
* Proven success in new business development, selling marketing solutions or professional services
* Demonstrated ability to prospect, close, and grow large, complex accounts
* Experience with six-figure and seven-figure deal sizes ($250K+ per sale)
* Comfortable managing variable sales cycles (3, 6, and 12+ months)
* Track record of career stability (maximum of three employers in the last ten years)
* Compensation history that includes performance-based commissions and bonuses
* Four-year college degree preferred
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with web-based, SaaS, and mobile-enabled solutions a plus
Compensation Opportunity
This role offers uncapped earning potential, directly tied to your performance.
* Base salary: $140,000
* Commission: Revenue-based, uncapped
* Fiscal year-end bonus: Based on revenue productivity and profitability
* First two years: Additional incentive opportunity tied to key sales activity performance metrics
