Minimum Qualifications

  • Active or expired Washington State Security Guard License required for hire
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
  • Professional appearance with strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, completing all scheduled patrols and electronic tour checkpoints.
  • Maintain a highly visible, professional security presence to help deter criminal activity and promote a safe environment.
  • Enforce site policies, including quiet hours, using verbal de-escalation techniques and directing individuals to leave the property when necessary.
  • Follow site-specific post orders and seek clarification whenever instructions are unclear.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with all Washington State traffic laws.
  • Inspect doors, gates, fences, lighting, and common areas for security, safety, and maintenance concerns.
  • Observe, document, and promptly report suspicious activity, criminal behavior, safety hazards, and maintenance issues.
  • Respond appropriately to incidents, contacting law enforcement or emergency services when required.
  • Complete accurate, timely daily activity logs, patrol records, and incident reports.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, visitors, clients, coworkers, and public safety personnel while helping maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment.
